Ladybug Poetry

By: The children in Mrs. Fleger / Miss Rudyk's

Grade One Class

In this activity, the children wrote limericks, four-lined and eight-lined rhyming poems about ladybugs.  Surprisingly enough, very few of them needed assistance in the composition of these poems, as their continued practice throughout the year in poetry writing has enabled them to experience success in this area of literacy growth.

Ladybugs, ladybugs

They can fly.

Ladybugs, ladybugs

Ladybugs, ladybugs

Love days so sunny!
