The Ladybug By Danielle

My report is on ladybugs.

They have dots. Not all of them have dots. The spots are black. Sometimes, they are yellow. Some have lots of dots and some have a little dots.

The ladybug’s shells could be red. They can be black or green or yellow.

Ladybugs use their legs and feet to move. They have 6 legs. Sometimes they use their wings to spread and fly.

Ladybugs have small eyes. They are very little and they are on the front of the ladybug’s head.

When ladybugs are born, they look like caterpillars. They come from eggs. Then they take off their skin and get new skin. When they are babies, their skin is tight. Then, they change their skin one more time and they are adult ladybugs.

Ladybugs eat bugs that they find on the leaves.

The End

The Ladybug By Darian

I am teaching about ladybugs.

Ladybugs get new skin. They get big, and too big for their old skin so it pops. When they get too big, they go to sleep.

Ladybugs are orange. They can be black, or yellow, or red. Some have lots of spots and some have little spots. When ladybugs first hatch as ladybugs, they are yellow but then their color gets darker and darker.

Ladybugs eat aphids. When they first hatch, they eat the egg. Then, when they lose their skin, they eat that too. They eat aphids the most. Girl ladybugs eat more than boy ladybugs.

A ladybug moves with its feet. It has six feet. That means it is called an insect. A ladybug also can move with its wings. Then, it flies.

Ladybugs hatch from eggs. Ladybugs have lots of eggs. Ladybugs lay their eggs on leaves.

Ladybugs taste yucky so other things won’t want to eat them like birds.

I am working on the ladybug.

Ladybugs lay eggs. When the eggs hatch, a kind of caterpillars comes out. Then, they go off and start eating aphids. They get bigger and their skin comes off. Then they go to sleep and turn into a ladybug. They change out of the skin they used to have into a harder shell. First, they are yellow and they start getting black spots. Then, they turn red. Then, they can fly. When they are grown up, they eat aphids too.

Ladybugs are good because they kill the aphids. The aphids make plants sick.

Girl ladybugs eat more than boy ladybugs. That’s because girls need lots of energy to help them when they lay the eggs.

Ladybugs can be all kinds of colors like yellow and black, orange and black, black and yellow, black and orange. They can be any color they want to be.

Ladybugs can have three or ten or nine of spots. Anykind of number.

Ladybugs taste bad because they are orange. Orange means they’re bad. Even Monarchs are orange. That means they are so bad to eat they are disgusting. Almost every bug is orange. They are so bad. They are a bit too confident.

When a ladybug is born, it looks like a worm. It has stages. It eats and gets bigger and his skin grows and gets squishy. When the ladybug larva goes to sleep, it turns into a ladybug.

A ladybug could be red or black. Sometimes it is different colors, but I never saw one with different colors.
