Hungry Mr. Caterpillar:
When I first started teaching, I found this rhyme on the Internet. Ever since, I have been using it in conjunction with "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" to create a class book.
First, we brainstorm several creatures and the food they eat. The students then individually select a creature to focus upon, and create a page outlining the conversation between caterpillar and the chosen creature.
